Overnight works – Fort Bridge Road

As Principal Contractor, working on behalf of Port of Tilbury London Limited on the Tilbury 2 project, we wish to advise you that we will be completing overnight works near your property.

The following works are planned;

  • Resurfacing at the base of Fort Bridge Road
  • Tarmac deliveries
  • Road paver works

To allow us to safely complete these tasks work will commence overnight from Thursday 18 June until Saturday 20 June from 7pm until 5am. However, please be aware that scheduled roadworks will be subject to rescheduling and amendments in order to continue to work in line with government Covid-19 guidance.

For Health & Safety reasons our vehicles are fitted with flashing lights and audible reversing alarms and the nature of these activities may mean that you will be aware of the works whilst in progress as we use this equipment.

Every effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption. Those working on site are briefed on working responsibly in the local community. Safety to our workers, road users and local residents is our number one priority.

We would like to thank you for your continued patience and co-operation throughout our scheme works.  If you have any questions or enquiries in relation to this letter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

A Section 61 Application, (variation to working hours) remains in force with the local authority Environmental Health Team who look after noise and pollution matters and Consent has been given under Section 61(1) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 for the site team to carry out nigh tine resurfacing.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yours
